1 lap, recharge, 2 laps, recharge...

The real race could be in whos batteries recharge the quickest.

Rather easy considering the top fuel dragsters often rebuild the entire engine between runs.

Not to mention, dragsters, funny cars, etc., anything set to do 'pure speed' over a set, straight course carries only as much fuel as that course requires. For safety.

So you're going to refuel that gasoline, alcohol or nitromethane powered thing for every single run, too. Assuming it doesn't need to be torn apart and rebuilt.

Recharge? Swap batteries. You know, like a cordless drill.

Or swap electrolyte for flow batteries.
