I hope this is not going to come to fruition. I use Cricket for one account and have had great service and coverage where I have needed it. ATT in the mix will only make the experience worse from the customer service point of view.

How is this less competition? These 2 companies couldn't be further from competition on each other. Everyone always throws out monopoly and duopoly. It has been a duopoly forever with AT&T and Verizon. Sprint and Tmobile are discount carriers. That's like saying US Cellular (a midwest regional company) is direct competition to Verizon or AT&T, in the grand scheme of things neither Verizon or AT&T notice a company like US Cellular. The more spectrum a company obtains is going to mean better overall service for its customers.
