Hi Ginny...I would think that the noise suppression features of the phone would be independent of HD Voice "wideband" codec that would require the LTE network (and they would improve all calls, not just calls to other HD Voice phones)... I know that a lot of people are interested in having better voice quality on their smartphones... after all it is still a 'phone and the poor voice quality continues to be a real sore point for those of us who use our phones for lots of calls... Thanks for the details in your summary, J

The difference between 4.6 and 4.7 ounces is one tenth of an ounce not one ounce and thats a Big error for a review.

I just don't understand the point of offering an LTE phone useable in only a handful of places. I am happy that Sprint is switching to LTE, but disappointed that they didn't release to the top 5 or 6 metro areas first. Seriously, Kankakee, IL, 50 miles south of Chicago will get LTE before Chicago. That's insane.

4G wasn't readily available when the EVO 4G came out 2 years ago. Sprint was quick to get it up and running, though. I wouldn't have a problem picking up an EVO LTE phone now.

Thats odd Im in Springfield,Missouri and we STILL DO NOT have 4G and they dont plan to get it here anytime soon. I wont waste my hard earned money on another Evo when Sprint lie's to its customers my contract is up in 2 days and I wont be keeping Sprint.

The only available 4G in the state of Michigan on the Sprint network is in the Grand Rapids area. Next closest is Clevland, Ohio. Sprint continues to charge a $10.00 premium data fee, and unlimited data plans (even if your usage is very little). Corporate discounts no longer apply to more than one phone on the plan. On shared plans, they divide the plan intp primary and secondary phones, and apply the discount to the primary phone-and do not discount the premium fee.

Pretty fuzzy math on the difference in weight between the One X and the EVO LTE. The article states "The Evo is an ounce heavier, at 4.7 ounces, than the One X (4.6 ounces)". Last time I checked, this is a difference of only 1/10th of an ounce, not a full ounce. So in other words, there's next to ZERO difference in weight.

Sprint should release a WiMax version of this phone, it would then be on top of all of the phones for the next year +. Real world is that LTE on Sprint will take to the end of 2013 unless there are tricks that no one knows about. The EVO brand is just so great but to make it a WiFi phone for possibly the life of the phone is crazy. My EVO 3D overall beats this great phone in almost every way. This makes the Samsung SII the only logical choice for new Sprint phones with the 3D taken off the Web. At least put the 3D back for the WiMax users to keep the EVO brand on top.
