I usually don't mess with the extended warrantys. Waste of money in my opinion. As for HP. I have a Dv9260nr Laptop sitting here wiating for me to replace the motherboard. From what I've been told it would be the second replacement.

If it wasn't such a nice laptop, I probably wouldn't be wasting my time as I already have two, plus two desktops. I guess those extended warranties are up to the individual as to whether they want to spend the money. As to the hoops you may have jump through, I'm sure there at least some as well as some catch 22's built in.
