Are you sure you don't mean an email app?

Generally speaking, texting apps don't have traditional "outbox", "sent", or "inbox". Instead, they just list the coversations and in each conversation are the texts you sent to that person as well as the texts they sent to you.

If you are talking about email, then the iPhone email app does have a "sent" folder.

Hey Dianne
Smart phones stores and shows messages in chat format for every contact and that is pretty simple way to check out the messages.

Well I'm not sure if AT&T has the Messages app for the Iphone. But they have a neat app that integrates messages and call intro the one App. I don't think there's a real need for Outbox, Inbox with text meesages because the mesasage is displayed in front of you and some apps allow you to save as a draft which is saving without sending

To my knowledge, all iPhones (no matter the carrier) have the Messages app. After all, the Messages app does regular text messaging in addition to Apple's "iMessage" system (the later is only available on iOS 5 or new if I recall correctly). I certainly know that AT&T iPhones and Sprint iPhones do.

Checking the AT&T site it's only available for Android. This is an AT&T written app that Only work with AT&T accounts. It's links all your devices to on centralized message database for you phone account. Here is what the AT&T app does.

With AT&T Messages, all your texts, calls,
and voicemail messages are together in a

I researched the At&T messages app and it's only for Android or your Windows PC.

The confusion comes from the fact that the texting app on all iPhones (i.e. the Apple built-in texting app) is called Messages.

FWIW, Sprint offers a similar functionality, but it is actually through Google Voice. Sprint has some "special" tight integration with Google Voice that when enabled basically turns your Sprint number into a Google Voice number. Then all your voicemails, texts, and log of placed/missed/received calls show up in the Google Voice app. And you can then have you Sprint number ring other phones (i.e. a land line) since it is a Google Voice number as well as a Sprint number.

Never heard about what you are looking for. As far as I know, smartphones have a text format similar to chat. So I don't think there is.
