"We're not finding any lapse in quality per se," said VanAmburg, referring to Windows 7, the current edition of Microsoft's operating system. "It's somewhat of a relativity game, where the mobile environment is recasting how people think of traditional software."
That thinking revolves around words like "cumbersome," "difficult" and "expensive."
Wrong! The software REALLY IS cumbersome, difficult, and expensive!!
And the dissatisfaction has NOTHING TO DO WITH the comparitive performance of mobile apps!
There is more ignorance of *real* end-user needs in VanAmburg's little pinky than in the whole of M$.

Have be using MS since 3.1, but having serious doubts about my satisfaction with MS updates.
Amatuer photographer, installed the latest newest version of Photoshop CS6 worked ok. Installed the the latest Cumulative Windows update, and it hoses parts of CS6.
Uninstalled the MS updates, and lo and beholed, CS6 works fine again.
Yep, losing interest and trust in MS.
