Yep, sums it up. Just finished with the Barb. Felt very familiar, with a few changes, of course.

The game isn't deep at all. It's World of Warcraft with a Diablo interface. You can't assign points into Str, Dex, or even skills -- they're just given to you when you level up. Your level 80 Barbarian is EXACTLY THE SAME as someone else's level 80 Barbarian. The only customization you can control is the equipment your using. Because of this, the game is extremely shallow.

What game are you playing? In Diablo 2, gear was king. Stats ans attributes followed strict builds and offered no real depth. Recreating a character because of one misplaced skill was not fun. In Diablo 3, while you cannot assign skill points, runes and skill combinations offer far more choice and variation than D2. I was fighting Belial on hell difficulty only to lose over and over again. Finally me and my friends collaborated on skill and rune combinations that best accented each other. Belial was easily defeated.

In Diablo 2 all you did is spam the exact same skill over and over and over and followed strict character builds. How exactly was that depth?
