Yeah... I'm always checking out the GM pages (and those of other companies) on FB for updates on product development etc, but I never click the ads (for any product or brand). Good decision by GM, in the olden days, they would have continued to pour money into an avenue of marketing that wasn't working, but it seems now they are spending money better.

I don't think I have EVER clicked on an ad, aside from by mistake. When I want or am interested in something, I look it up, not the other way around.

First he exploits your privacy. Then he makes you pay him to exploit your privacy. Zuckerberg is a genius.
I've always said I'd be glad to pay to use Facebook, if doing so guaranteed my privacy and relieved me of being constantly splashed with stupid ads.

Though I'm not a fan of their cars, this was somewhat clever of GM; knowing how much free publicity is always awarded to Facebook by news sources, GM just created greater brand visibility than they likely ever got on Facebook. And all for free, simply for dumping them.

always starts off 'free' from ads - look at cable tv (well here in aus).

Facebook has ads? I guess the AdBlock extension for Chrome must be working because I don't recall seeing any ads...

+1 Your'e right it's all over the news big time more than the new Super sport. If GM did their homework (likely they did )they are a big advertiser ,other companies might follow but their will be plenty of lemmings left for F.B.to exploit.

OK, I have clicked on an ad. But only and obviously if it was in my interest. Can't say it ever led to a purchase.
