I just use the one built into Windows. For photo editing, I use Paint.NET. (it's a pretty good tool and has just about everything I need, it starts a whole lot faster than photoshop, it's a lot lighter than photoshop, it has has a nicer interface, and it's free.)

this one has small footprint--doesn't need installer (portable version)--loads fast and has many features--also--it's free--see downloads section in linked website.

My favorite image viewer is Paint Shop Pro 5.0. I think it's from 1996. It's easy to use & does WAY more than I need. It's also easy to adj. any pictures GAMMA to lighten up a picture, without washing out the color.

Oh, does it really? I didn't say I meant only Windows and provided this "Other" option which can be a Linux viewer, too. For many, Linux is still terra incognita so no Linux examples are given. Sorry!
