I just recently started having a big issue with my laptop, it is an ASUS g74sx
running windows7 64bit 8Gb Ram and 1Tb of memory. After a recent update through
Asus Live update ( drivers I think ) my computer began acting weird. Fisrt my
resolution changed to minimum, my theme was reset to windows classic ( was using
aero before ) and i lost the ability to right click my screen to bring up the
nvidia control panel ( the menu is no longer there ). Since then my computer has
been running slower, even right after i turn it on and i keep getting a couple
of screen referring to nvidia one is a BIOS flash update notice that says "The
BIOS file version does not match the Bios ROm version. Click exit to exit" the
second one is a command prompt screen "c:\program files <x86>\ASUS\ASUS Live
Update\Temp\42>setup.exe -s -n -log:C\Windows\temp\NvidiaLogs -loglevel 1:6"
since this happened i cant seem to be able to use any of my nvidia's custom
settings (the control panel wont even open. I have run Avast and MWB full scans
in my computer just in case but nothing, also i use a 32 inch screen as a
monitor and my computer doesnt seem to be transmitting sound to it anymore any
sound will come off the computer instead of the TV speakers.Im really getting
frustrated at this and any help that anyone can provide will be greatly
appretiated.
Thanks in advance
