agree with wikipedia - coming from a medical background I've been totally impressed with the depth of medical knowledge on some articles - obviously written by doctors

You missed some basic ones, including the National Institute of Health (http://health.nih.gov/), MedLine Plus for Drug Information (http://www.nlm.nih.g...nformation.html), and a home health guide put out by the Merck Drug Company (http://www.merckmanu...home/index.html).

Be very cautious believing and acting on any medical advice that you find online. An example of how ridiculous some of the information is, is an article I recently read on Diabetic Connect stating flatly that diabetes is CAUSED by obesity. I am a 70 year old male 5'9" tall and weigh 150. I am not, and never have been, overweight more than just a few (perhaps 10) pounds. I was recently at a funeral of my Mother's sister who was diabetic and saw 6 members of my Mother's family, none of which were more than 25 pounds overweight (None were obese)that were diabetic. The article extolling obesity as the cause of diabetes failed to even mention heredity as a cause of diabetes. Take online medical advice with a grain of salt.

I forgot to specify that I am diabetic having been diagnosed about 1 year ago.
