That review was absolutely appalling. The writer of this review takes on only one side, and focuses on one topic, all of which he is misinformed about. HTML5, HTML5, HTML5. it dun takey t00 lung 2 rend3r! Stunningly enough, it simply isn't fair to compare a render time for a format against competition that does not supply it. I think that Corel should be excused from not having perfect HTML5 support, as HTML5 isn't even a finished article, that is nowhere near being in mainstream use. The writer also moans about how he "thinks" that X5 does not support photoshop rollovers. And as a result marks it down. Hilariously, it has been doing this since at least X3. So, 95% of the review is meaningless and focusing on one, uncomparable topic, in which it is technically the market leader, as I don't see ANY other products that support HTML5. No mention is made of the depth of editing (which is superb) or the masses of professional features that the Ultimate edition comes with. No mention is made of the cue points, something which Vegas and even iMovie do not currently support. I feel this is a superb feature that makes audio syncing a breeze. I find that this is a disgraceful review that fails to focus on the larger items, and only mentions one thing, from one point of view, over, and over, and over.

Does Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 support GPU acceleration? I have a GT 210 (I will get a new one soon) and when I render a video, the GPU loads just about 0%. Do i have to turn anything on ?

I agree with OliGordon. Why give HTML5 that space in a review and not mention and comment on the real benefits of this software: excellent editing, excellent preview, screen recording, flexible workspace and on top of it all amazing video stabilization ( the Ultimate version with proDAD Mercali SE which was a decisive part for me)
What first struck me thow when i tried the software was its rock-steadyness. I feel very comfortable with this software. I have tried Cyberlink PowerDirector 10 and Adobe Premier Elements 11 but Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 is definitely my first choice.
