I just bought this but the speakers rattle and crackle with every single sound. Playing music sounds like the laptop is under a pillow. It's horrible sound quality. I'm going to return it if i can't figure this out in the next hour.

This review makes the computer sound bad, but they compare apples to oranges. The computer has 8gb ram while the 2 they compare it to have 16, and that's just to start with. For what it is this is an amazing system!

This whole review makes the Asus look like a cheap and worthless wannabe laptop, whereas it's a very capable machine. It doesn't pretend to be an EON17 which costs twice as much. What it is, is an inexpensive desktop replacement gaming laptop for those who can't afford - or don't want to spend -almost $4000 for an EON; a computer that does everything or almost everything as well as the latter. So what if it does have good sound? Asus knows that most buyers have a good set of speakers or headphones they can use.

BTW, I am just curious. you say that "the G75VW is 3 percent slower than your baseline system," which has only an Intel I5-2500K processor. What is your basline system? You posted a dead link there.
