Hi, I happened to find a copy of a Java for Dummies 3rd Edition book in my garage and I noticed the CD-ROM in the back wasn't there. I don't know what happened to it. I love creating websites that look like they are from the 90s. But the CD-ROM is missing in which I was going to use the software on an old computer. Does anyone know where I could find it? It's all obsolete software, but it's vintage and I love old software. I have looked everywhere for an image file on the Internet but with no luck. If anyone has a copy of it, would you mind creating an image file in which I could burn it and replace the CD that is missing? Thanks!

It's weird because it's not an all in one. It seems like the book itself is obsolete too.

Print books about computers are pretty much without exception 'obsolete'.

If you're going to use the book as a tutorial, simply google each lesson they present. You will find source code and examples online.

In fact, that's the key to learning programming in any language. Google it. There are always a 1001 howtos for every language, in every language.

For instance, here's a 'Dummies' tutorial on Java, online. Found with a search: java dummies.

Here are Java tutorials, online. Found with a search: howto java.

I saw For Dummies series in Szczecin bookshops but it was back in the 1990s, so I doubt if anyone has it now. It's unavailable in merlin.pl (Polish Amazon) and Helion publishers don't list it too. Check if the disc's table of content is printed somewhere in the book. It SHOULD be. At least you'll be able to get the apps, their latest versions though.

And today is the last day of Szczecin Baltic Rock Meetng festival. We also had Leon Hendrix's concert.
