Wow, for $399, you could get a Galaxy Nexus straight from the Google Play store and put it on StraightTalk for $45 a month for unlimited everything. And then you have a GSM Galaxy Nexus world phone on T-Mobile's 42mbps 4G OR AT&T's big coverage map with HSPA+ 4G. Kinda better than the 4S and considerably better than a 4. Not to mention things like Google Wallet, free WiFi tether, and a screen size that wasn't meant for a teenage girl.

"Cricket’s plan is: $55 per month for unlimited voice, SMS and data. Calling the data unlimited is a little misleading, however: you must stay within Cricket’s fair usage policy of 2.3GB of data a month." These companies should be sued for false and misleading advertising. If you are going to offer "unlimited" anything, then it should be unlimited and not hide fair usage policies in the fine print. I remember growing up and seeing television commercials and advertisements in magazines and newspapers and the companies would get sued by State Attorney´s Generals for this kind of practice. Many consumer protection laws that were passed in the 80´s were a result of this kind of false and misleading advertising. It is time to once again put an end to this kind of practice.

Android is not for everyone. When I buy something I always go by the saying "You get what you pay for". If you're saving money one way, you're paying for it another way. In Android's case you're sacrificing security and having to put up with a bunch of pre-installed crap to save money. To me that's not worth it. I had an Android phone and it was the crappiest phone I ever owned. A compete waste of $200 with contract. And this from a guy who's had smartphones since 2002. The reason I choose the Android phone over all other phones was because I liked the keyboard. I hate touch screens. But in the end I'd choose any phone over having another Android phone. Then again I'm not one who is looking to save money. I'm the kinda guy who wants the best available regardless of cost.

Sorry TomN, Google nexus is NOT "kinda better"than a 4S iphone. But then it is "Kinda" obvious you are a shill for the company?

Yep, it seems that companies will find a way to make false claims one way or another. For instance, tmobile unlimited* data on their $30/month plan.
*5GB full-speed, after that it's almost useless 2G

Stands to reason with multiple Android phones going to pre-paid plans. I wonder if they have a BYOD system where I can buy a SIM card and use and existing iPhone.
