I would give Anonymous a thousand dollars if they made facebook redirect to Google+. It's depressing the technology choices being made by people. It also makes me want to cut myself whenever I see an iPhone in people's hands. Get a goddamn Android. Or when I see a Dell, HP, or Alienware computer. Why do the worst brands of everything have to be the most commonly purchased...FML.

What is wrong with owning an iPhone. Is there a problem with Dell, HP and Alienware (Which is owned by Dell). Do you have reasons that these products are despised by you? But in regards to your post, do you feel that Google+ is a better service than Facebook and why?

People purchase what is most advertised, because that's all they 'know' about.

They hear about Facebook or Twitter endlessly from TV, so they make those accounts.

Sure Facebook claims 'a billion' users, but AOL made some outrageous claims about their number of users, too. Not everyone kept using their facebook account, once created, and many created accounts just to spam each other. Everyone who ever created a facebook account, rolled their eyes, and never logged in again are ALL counted as 'facebook customers', because there is no obvious way to delete their facebook accounts. (Hint: Use a third party search engine to find it.) Even people who 'deactivate' their accounts are still 'customers'.

Though really, the only customers are facebook advertisers and people that facebook sells data to. YOU, as a user, are the product. The same can be said of Google+.

what a dumb post. just because they don't use what YOU use doesn't mean it's the worst brand.

There already are such tools. Use FB Cookie Blocker for Firefox and Chrome.

I am tired of childish people ransacking social networks and websites from atop various soap boxes. They need to stop this attack on Facebook (which, I add, is still causing trouble. Mine is all jacked up.)

Good point: The user is the product at FB. All of the users' data is FB's only asset, so enjoy being a commodity.

Facebook’s user data mining led Julian Assange to call the social media giant “the most appalling spying machine that has ever been invented.”
do you agree?

Since police and government and various corporate entities do monitor it, yes.

You can opt out.
