What I don't understand is why USA carriers had Samsung sacle back the processors from quad to dual?!
WTH were they thinking. This was a chance for them to sell the fastest phone avail. Stop depending on iPhone sales and move into a newer faster device. Why go quadcore next year, when it is most likely the Galaxy S IV for example could be faster than a quad?!
Everyone else in the world is going to get the quadcore model, what the heck is up with US carriers?! I wanted this frikken phone. Now the only way to get the one I want woudl be forcing me to spend $800 for one unlocked and I'd have to use it with the nations worse carrier for service - AT&T. That's Bull...
For the money you US carriers charge, this was a crappy cop-out move. Locks like device plans for this year just got scratched out.

@Quadcon: because apparently the quadcore processors don't come with compatible radios at this point, blame it on Samsung not the carriers.
Why would anybody buy the Sprint version right now? Their LTE network is almost non-existant. Why would I pay $250 for a phone that (for the time being) offers me only a slower connection than what I can get on my WiMax Evo 4G right now?

"The S III will be compatible with Sprint’s soon-to-be-turned-on 4G LTE network." which will probably include another 10.00 convience or smart phone or uber leet fee.
