it's 4.3 billion (ok 4.294 billion) IP addresses in IPv4, not 430 billion.

Turn it on, Comcast! My Linux server/router is IPv6-ready and I can forget about v6-to-v4 tunneling.

Will the IPv6 address for my Linux box be static or dynamic?

Yeah, your home has 30 IP devices...but how many of them are connected directly to the Internet, as opposed to being connected to your local network? You're most likely only using ONE direct Internet IP Address in your home.
