This is stupid. Oh no, look at me, the pain and suffering for being beautiful. Model and do other jobs or even blog about it.

My thoughts to a T. You take a job being paid to show skin, and then complain about it. These gals have been watching to much american TV.

Just my opinion......YMMV......

As this board has demonstrated, sexism is alive and well as ever...oh yes, let's objectify women and if they complain, demean them some more, that's how democracy and free market works....

WRONG!!! We aren't demeaning them, we are making factual statements. If you work for Hooter's where you wear a top that exposes 50% of your top to be seen, you expect that a man will say something...its call human nature. It would be no different than a woman walking on the beach exposing 99% of her body and to expect no comments at all.

The best things about electronic shows, auto shows and more is seeing the women who show off the stuff. if I didnt want to see them, I can simply wait to see the items on retails shelves or car lots. The biggest draw for males is the girls...DUH!

Exposing your personals and all your legs is not professional, it slutty. Plain an simple. Get over yourself. I do agree that man make comments that are in poor taste. These women are working on a professional level and should be treated as such. However, there are better jobs in the world. If you chose to be lazy and use your looks to make money vs using your brain to make money, then you are subject to receive what you get.

The guys aren't being demeaning, they are just being males who think with their waist and not their brain.

For me, I would love to go to these shows in Asian countries. I think they look far better than American women in general and they use their natural look and usually don't pile on makeup, no wear fake hair, don't get body augmentations to make them stand out and the rest of that fake stuff most use here to look good. Asian's are naturally beautiful. I speak from experience, I married one.

As a guy, I love beautiful women. But I find the 'booth gals' at these type of shows to be irritating and offensive. I'd have much more respect for a tech company that presented their products in a more professional way. There's better ways to attract attention.

Well, if a Chippendales dancer were to come up to me and say, "They're objectifying me and making sexist remarks and making me feel bad!", I'd probably say something along the lines of "Shut your cakehole moron, what did you think was going to happen? You obviously weren't hired for your intellect. Now go back and jiggle for the ladies."

I've been on both sides of that short curtain. Many of our female salespeople were real salespeople and many of the admin offices solicited their employees to particpate. The long hours, and the constant smiling made my whole face hurt for a week. Luckily all I did was demonstrate the equipment have the ladies made the sales pitches. It did impact order taking when more than one lady was present but they weren't the usual window dressing many have taken to put on display.

I won't quote anyone's comments because that would be akin to a personal attack. I will say that the "she was asking for it because of how she was dressed" argument lost its credibility several decades ago, and it's sad there are still people with that mindset. I imagine most models expect they will encounter men who think with their little brain rather than the big one when they take jobs like this. Unfortunately, expecting it does little to take away the sting when it happens.

If you take a job which the description includes basically being objectified, then get upset when men objectify you...you're retarded. Women deserve to be respected, i believe that 100%, but when you're paid to flaunt your goods, and you take that job, shut your mouth and accept what you "CHOOSE" to do. Unless someone has a gun to these girl's heads forcing them to do the job, its their own fault.
