Review's definitely more objective than Donald Bell's at Cnet. That guy's an Apple hack.

I find it rather interesting that when a Samsung phone is 1mm thinner than the iPhone it's a huge deal, but this player is over 25% thicker than the iPod Touch and the reviewer says "it's a tad thicker." No bias here...

I have the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2, and although the built-in EQ is not very good, and the sound through my Sennheiser headphones sounds a bit hollow, I actually found an Android app called PowerAmp, which fixes this issue. This $4.95 app has a 10-band EQ, a bass and treble adjustment, and a limiter. You can save multiple presets to use with multiple sets of headphones as well as the built-in speakers. After doing some tweaking, my music sounds amazing.
