Well I was counting on it coming to iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPod Touch, etc because hacks have shown that it can, so that really ticked me off.

I rooted my galaxy phone to make it work as wi-fi hotspot. Now connects to it from my wifi ipad3. Gets the best of both worlds.

Yeah, those hackers spend a lot of time and effort in QC and making sure the execution is flawless- NOT.

I don't want Siri on my iPad 2. I'd feel kind of stupid sitting in a Starbucks and being seen talking to my tablet.

Not very well—they lack the far-field noise-reduction hardware built into the A5(X) CPU which allows it to be used accurately at arm's-length.

No—at least not at first, and (IMO) not at all due to above noise-reduction issues.

If that were really true, Apple would not make Siri available for the retina iPad, nor would they provide version after version of iOS available for free to old iPods and 3GS phones.
