You used the Windows Media Player icon for the slide on Windows Media Center. Some similar functionality, but overall, very different applications.

What the people building Window 8 fail to understand, at a fundamental level, is the role of tablets, versus desktop computers. For the most part, even a software developer, mostly what I want a tablet for is to read (DRM FREE) ePubs and PDFs, get alerted to incoming emails and text via Google voice, some web browsing, and so on. Other than that, I want my full desktop computer, and I don't what the Metro UI getting in the way of my trying to get desktop work done.
While I own an iPhone, I merely tolerate Apple's close totalitarian system, all the while wishing it were open, like a Linux system is. That Microsoft is trying to build an Apple style walled garden, does not in any way give it appeal. Microsoft's attempt to FORCE people to consume their online media services seems only likely to incite revolt, not tolerance, and definitely not acceptance, certainly not from me. What Microsoft also doesn't seem to get is that Apple's hardware simply rocks, and until they are better able to coax IHVs to build a tablet with hardware specs competitive with Apple's, and until Microsoft has either convinced developers to build a good stable of apps, or Microsoft has built them themselves, they aren't going to succeed in the direct they are going.
