Or you can use Evernote, which will synch your phone, tablet, PC, and is extraordinarily versatile.

I have used SugarSync for several years primarily for the reason Rick mentions in this article - the ability to sync folders without having to drag them to some other location such as a "dropbox." SugarSync lets me set up my local and online backup software (Windows Backup and Carbonite) without having to worry that designating a folder to sync will take it out of my regular folder structure and cause it not to backup. SugarSync has a much improved iPad app that I use everyday and an Android app I occasionally use with my Razr Maxx.

I used to adore SugarSync and still do for the most part, save one: SugarSync is not available for Linux based machines. I have switched to UbuntuOne, which is truly cross platform, to keep all my files in order on the cloud.
