Would be interesting to know how the Axis Camera Companion software app and 4 entry level 720p IP camera's (like hte m1054) stack up against this. Axis solution would cost arround $1600-$1700 for 4 camera's, 4 32GB SD cards and a 8 port PoE switch, so it would be comparable to the Logitech or Trendnet solution, and would put a "tier 1" solution in the mix.

Trendnet is Apple/Mac-phobic and for experts only. None of the demos on their website work in Safari, and more telling, their software works only on Windows. Yuk. Wake up and smell the apples, Trendnet. As the author rightly pointed out, Trendnet provides no - like zero - help for anyone that doesn't know what they're doing. Guess I'll go with Logitec, although that feels like I'm going with the product for dummies (I suppose I am), with fewer features.
