I actually use to be into World of Warcraft quite heavily... For years I controlled the Auction House on my realm... So I can undertstand the flucations that are occuring even now on both of these new style houses that Blizzard has come up with.... I believe it is simply a case of Blizzard giving up... They can't fight the spammer that actually do sell items for real money, so why not become one of them.... I would think that only 20% of those who play are going to spend more than $50-$100 per item of Epic gear at the current highest level... It gets old trying to keep up with their gear Teir system... So if you start buying the newest gear with REAL Money, its going to get old even faster... I think on WOW, I checked out the prices on a hacker site once and figured it would cost an avg of $30-$50 for each piece of the highest Teir Epic, So you are talking about $300-$400 to become fully geared and then have no knowledge of the raids required to obtain these pieces... (defeats the purpose of playing) And then in 6 months Blizzard will make these pieces worthless by going upwards to the next teir.... I stopped playing a year ago, after 5 years...

The whole stance on virtual items is stupid, ebay and friends are dumb for prohibiting it.

I am shocked at Blizzard's complete turn-about on this issue. Unless I am mistaken, when it comes to Blizzard's WoW, anyone caught doing this will be banned.

Ah. The difference in this case is, Blizzard gets a cut of every sale. Blizzard is quite happy to facilitate trading if they get their piece of the pie (:

What I think is a [censored] joke is they charge you $1 for every sale.

then take 30% off your [censored] sale.

Rofl it would be fair if they just charged you nothing at all but i guess 10% would be exceptable but 30% HOW THE [censored] IS ANYONE MENT TO MAKE ANY MONEY jesus [censored] christ why are they so foaming at the mouth getting a soaking wet hard on for money their greed is literally on a disgusting demonic level.
