Actually the evidence for health effects from RF electromagnetic radiation (even below the current outdated FCC standards) is gaining. Here is Dr. Magda Havas response to the FCC spokespeson saying there is no evidence of health effects. Melissa Levine, StopSmartMetersIrvine.com.

Really? What about the following evidence:
We have evidence that cell phone use is associated with cancer (even in the flawed INTERPHONE study).
We have evidence that microwave radiation causes DNA breaks in rat brains and in sperm.
We have evidence that 2.4 GHz (used in some cordless phones and Wi-Fi) causes primary tumours in rats (U.S. Air Force Study 1992)
We have evidence that this radiation increases the permeability of the blood-brain barrier, enabling potentially toxic chemicals to enter the brain.
We have evidence that it is associated with an increase in the enzyme ornithine decarboxylase that is linked to cancer.
We have evidence that it increases free radicals that can cause cancer.
We have evidence that it increases stress proteins and compromises the immune system.
Indeed, we have epidemiological studies, in vivo studies, and in vitro studies (the three key types of scientific evidence) that microwave radiation below FCC guidelines is associated with AND causes cancer and that the mechanisms involve some combination of free radical production, increased membrane permeability, DNA fragmentation and a compromised immune system.
We also have evidence that some reporters (see below) do not read the science and make statements that are scientifically incorrect.

Interesting. Well while its possible that it does increase the risk of cancer, so do most things in this world. So.... Also my dad who doesn't have brain cancer (knock on wood) has been using cell phones since the 80s...

Just so many variables within this investigation, the results are certain ti be undecisive. Yes, placing a microwave source that close to the brain can't be good. Whether it affescts everyone in the same way?? Not so clear. We are all different and given that we are all healthy at one time or another in our lives, who's to say what caused said persons reason for demise. Testing on animals maynot be ethical to some but focusing electro-magnetic microwaves on any body part is bound to have some detrimental effects. Like all smokers don't die from cancer but non smokers can. I might have drank those twenty cans a day of cyclimate sodas in the 70's and be suffering from underlying causes and the cell phone was the tipping point. Don't waste the money and focus on the treatment instead.
