1080p (1920x1080). No 4K sets on the market yet, although Sharp showed off both 4K and 8K prototypes at CES this year.

Doesn't sound like a good mix.

4K would be acceptable, but 8K would really shine here.

why? what is gained by these giant screens?

I won a 52" sharp this winter and it is HUGE! I guess there are commercial advantages!

90" is a nice size if you watch a lot of movies, and have the space. You just have to wait for the price to come down.

this is lame, with this money I would rather buy LG's 84 inch 4Ktv and save another 2k for a smaller TV in my bedroom.

You talk about the 84" LG 84LM9600 as a replacement for the Sharp 90" with 2 grand to spare, I just want to know what you're smokin' or where you're shopping. I looked up the price of the LG tv and it's more than twice that of the Sharp. Sorry, I'll pass.
