You maybe should have added the Sager NP9170 / Clevo P170EM as well. It would beat both the HP and MSI. It boast the AMD 7970m and soon the nVIdia 680m and can use the 3rd Gen Intels as well while going up to 32Gb of RAM. Also much lighter than the Eurocom (also a Clevo) while being closer in performance. You are also Alienware which would cream the MSI and HP.

I bought a sager 2 years ago while I was in Iraq. I paid $5,000 for a laptop with the (then) top of the line *desktop* processor, the i7 980 Xtreme , Geforce 480m, 128GB SSD, 12GB RAM and a couple HHDs. It was hot, it was HUGE, it was HEAVY and it had a power brick the size of a real brick and just as heavy. I think total weight was between 20 and 25 pounds, but it could do anything I asked it to, play any game I asked it to at the highest GFX setting, or close to it, and I loved it. I lugged that behemoth back and forth to work every day for 9 months, and it was worth every penny. My co-workers always made fun of me because my laptop was so huge, but at the same time they always wanted to use it 'cus it was so awesome. The only thing it needed was a backlit keyboard.

Alien didn't make the cut?
Sager didn't make the cut?
