With extra time I would hope I5 could beat S3. But S4 will just trump I5.

Nothing like an impartial opinion (and article). Pathetic excuse for 'news'.

..and where does Foxconn make all their money? Oh ya, that would be Apple. Hmmm....no bias there I presume.

Lets hope the latest iphone catches up with the industry.

I have had a larger screen AND 4G for literally 2 years now.

Apple will COPY their competitors and likely do both of what Android and Samsung has offered for years but it will be "new", "unique", and "revolutionary". The sad thing is the sheep will line up to get these things and be stunned and amazed at how great a larger screen is and that 4G speed too.

Wow.

6 months is an eternity right now in the smartphone world and 2 of the major things the next iphone will offer are actually old news. I'm sure there will be a faster processor...but then so will the new Galaxy S4 after that. Big deal.

The Apple sheep need to wake up and realize they have been duped for years. The majority of stuff they will be getting in the next phone is in fact old.

Apple and Samsung. What a weird love/hate relationship they got going. Suing the crap out of each other with one hand, and sharing Retina monitor love with the other. It's like high school.

And who really cares which phone is the best for a couple of months, other than the rabid fanboys from both sides. If the phone is what you want, when you buy it, well then it is the phone for you. Mosst all of the ompanies out there right now, put out some really nice phones, find the one you like..... it's not going to make you any better in any way than somebody that has a different one. Troll on fanboys, love reading all of the insults....LOL
Just my opinion......YMMV......

BAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah, just like that marvel of tech, the iPhone 4S.

I swear, apple has the biggest inferiority complex, I have EVER seen.

What extra time? I guarantee you, the SIII went from concept to reality, in the time SINCE the 5 was finalized. apple has had it ready to go for months (thus the already old tech in it). apple is going to release another not-quite-there phone... and the fanboys will still auto-orgasm.

You're a complete moron, people have been copying Apple since 1984 and continue to do so still to this day. There would be no Android if Google's CEO wasn't on Apple's board during the release of the original iPhone, stole the idea, and concept and stepped down from the Apple board. then Google then released the "idea" for Android, they purchased the OS from another company and repackaged it and gave it away. MS did the same thing with DOS, but they sold it to IBM under the name MSDOS and didn't give it away.

So, while you hold on to your cheap plastic imitation wannabe iPhone, with the worst mobile OS in history, just remember, what you are using is a direct copy of the iPhone, period. They just did a piss poor job and rushed it to market.

It's not in Apple's DNA for drastic changes. If it's incremental change for iOS, then expect the same pace to iPhone. Realize that this is the Apple way of securing profit margins. Larger screen means a larger batt pack along with further enhancements such as a new A series SoC (them going for Cortex A15 gen are highly suspect at this stage) or again a mere factory overclock. All these adds up to cost which should be a non issue if this was an Android phone but it's not.

This week's WP8 slew of news and MS' confirmation of selecting Qualcomm's S4 MSM8960 base should also move a ticker at 1 Infinite Loop.

Oh wow. A manufacturer says that the product it makes will be better than the competition. That's amazing.

You have a lot of hate and very little knowledge. To be fair people have been coping Apple since before 1984 and Apple has been coping them, new products and services are built on the previous ones.

Whats so great about 4G? A network infrastructure that covers less than 5% of geographic America. If you live in a big city thats great, but you cannot travel and still use 4G. 4G coverage is a joke, only available in metropolitan areas when 95% of America is rural space. Even if you have 4G coverage, you are crippled by small GB/month limits. 4G isnt nearly ready for prime time. If the new iPhone has it it will be too soon, and many customers will be stuck footing a bill for a feature that is ABSOLUTELY useless to them. Please keep in mind the only reason i havent switched to Android is because all of the good phones force you to get 4G. And how exactly is it "copying" to make a bigger screen? The entire Android OS wouldnt exist without being copied from iOS. I guess Android was copying when it started making large screen tablets right after Apple did?

In other unbiased news, Nokia says Windows Phone 8 to be the most dominant mobile OS by 2014.

Of course, playing devil's advocate, the iPhone has trounced every other smartphone for years—why would the next be different?
