We are just wondering what could be the problem as whenever my fiance and I talk her volume is really low, then all of a sudden it will go high for no reason, the low for no reason. Then if she brings up a webpage theres a screeching noise. She has bought new head phones, a new mic etc...still no difference. A new USB, no difference. Her internet speed is fast. We have checked the microphone levels on the PS and they are fine and checked them on skype. Dont know what else to do as the problem is at her end not mine. Her camera goes off and on oftern too. She has plenty of memory space on her PC. She can hear and see me just fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of asking numerous questions, I'll point you to this thread... http://www.amperordi...kype-audio.html .

Also, if you Google "skype volume problems" or "skype audio problems" (without quotes), you will find LOTS of threads asking about Skype audio.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried called other people from her computer and your computer to see if the same problem happens?

This would rule out if it is her or your computer

If it is one computer only, than what internet you use? Wifi or connected with cable?

Wifi is never good for video conference from my experience.

Have you test the internet speed to see that you get what you should be getting?
Windows 8 is a useless OS that Microsoft released that has many flaws and bugs. DO NOT USE IT. Use Windows XP or Windows 7.
