Vizio's $100 Co-star Merges Google Tv, Onlive Cloud Gaming

I bought the Vizio Co-Star for my Mom, who has a HDTV. But does not have a computer or tablet. She needs to have email for signing up to Amazon and Netflix, etc and to use Google search and she does enjoy going online for movies. If she misses Moyers and Company she can go to the PBS website and download past programs. Google TV is getting better and better for other Web explorations sitting in her easy chair on the big screen.
The Co-Star has worked fine, but the track pad is so sensitive it is hard to use. And turning the remote over for numbers and back over to the itty-bitty keyboard for entering letters is tedious when needing to write more than a letter or number or two. I found it tedious and I am not 87 years old.
Checking around I could not find much on attaching a keyboard. Vizio itself just directed me to Logitech and said I needed an Android capable keyboard. Could only find one, looking online, a spendy Bluetooth one.
On the advice of a techie at Staples, I ended up getting a Logitech keyboard that incorporates a track pad. He said give it a try. Could work. It is wireless. Only says it is for Windows. No mention of being Android capable. But just plugged the little gizmo into the USB slot on the Co-Star and the keyboard worked great! Light and sits on a lap. Took a bit of time for the mouse/track pad pointer to settle down but it did and is much more easier to use and needless to say a full keyboard is so much better. My Mom and I are still testing. She keeps the remote nearby for certain functions. Love that V key. Nice keys for games. But when she needs to type much at all, she uses the big keyboard.

I have a defective co-star. I have been intentionally sent through multiple tech support calls to delay my resolution. I am now outside of the return window and cannot get my money back for a defective product I purchased from vizio. The only options I get for replacement requires me to be either out of tv service for the 3-4 weeks while it is shipped to and from the warehouse or to put up an additional $100 for a replacement that I have no guarantee will be fixed. This is unethical and does not show any consideration for the customer. I will be letting as many people know about my experience with vizio and my dissatisfaction with their unethical and unfair warranty/return policy.
