I would donate it all to the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation, the philanthropic arm of my sorority.

First, IF is a big concept. For instance, if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his a-- on the ground. That having been said, I would buy my dog Andy a big chew bone or two. Secondly, I would pay off my Mother's credit cards and and give enough to cover household expenses ie: utilities and such. I would probably make a large donation to the ChIldren's Hospital. Man, I don't know. This a very rhetorical question. I did hit pick 3 on my Birthday in 1989 for $480 and blew it on a new VCR. I guess I would probably remember my favorite waitresses and bartenders with a huge tip. Then again, that could create a whole new set of problems. I guess I could get Andy his very own UPS truck to harass. I don't know, there are alot of people out there hurting, so I guess figuring a way to help them would have to be on the agenda. I also like Kellie's idea of donating to a sorority. I imagine I could score some points doing that. coastie65

Even if it was set to do whatever you want I would only get myself a % of it.I would.. send money to my cousins in the Philippinesdonate to various charities mostly environmental and animal concerns along with 3rd world countries, people who really need it. Perhaps if I found a charity as well funding for the advancement of the world in general as well.I'd fund the animal rights movement by sponsoring pro vegetarian commercials on tv and billboards to combat the constant brainwashing from the big coperations. Letting people know the real risks and health "benefits" of eating meat.I would also like to finance the forward thinking of wisdom the promotion of the path of enlightenment and un-attachment to things that hold us back. I believe it is seriously underrated in this society, and can make strides in all aspects of life.Depending on how much I won and how much I have already spent there are many other causes from other aspects of health and moving forward the progressive evolution of the universe.

Yeah, I like animals so that sounds good. Unfortunately, I don't share Aurora's enthusiasmfor the Vegitarian thing. I still like a good steak on my plate. I'm not anti vegetable or anything, except for broccoli and asparagus ( those things ought to be outlawed). I will eat broccoli florets in a salad though or from one of those vegetable platter things with the ranch dip. Getting back to the animal thing, yeah I would donate to the S.P.C.A. as welland other shelters. As I said, I have a dog . He has been neutered and hates the Vet. I have to muzzle him and he is still a handful. At 61 lbs, he is a rather large Shar Pei. I maybe should have introduced him to a couple lady Shar Peis first and collected some stud fees. Now that I've drifted way off track, yeah, donating to animal causes is a good thing. coastie65

Actually, we don't have to make a donation for recycling. Waste Management comes by every other week to pick up the recycle stuff for free and they even gave me a tub to put it in. Unfortunately, a lot of my neighbors don't bother with it. The county landfill has a really good set up where you can get rid of almost eveything such as old oil, papers, batteries, and such. I hope your Dog didn't go through the stage Andy did. He went through a stage where no remote was safe from destruction due to chewing. When he was big enough to get off the deck by himself, he would take them out into the yard to do his thing. He was six weeks old when I got him, and he came with an attitude. He let me know that he thought the world revolved around him, and he still does. He will be six next month. Educational programs on the importance of recycling would be good. Here in Va. they make it easy as it is free for the most part. They have a program for recyling old electronics but they do get a fee for that. I think that is counter productive as people don't want to pay to get rid of something. I generally just give the old stuff to the Salvation Army or Goodwill. Enviromental issues bring up a multitude of possibilities with what to do with a windfall that you can't use yourself. coastie65

We get seperate bins, but it cost us too. We lose a lot to scavengers who hit the bins for the CA. Beverage refund items. I used to recycle it all, but 2 or 3 cents a pound for glass isn't worth seperating colors. Aluminum cans is different, buck sixty a pound, I'll tote that myself. Skip the newspapers, 30 bucks a ton isn't worth messing with.

I really don't understand the people who get so upset about the homeless and scavengers raiding people's recycle bins for cans and bottles to turn in for cash. I mean, you're obviously not going to redeem them, and when they are turned in for the refund, they get recycled anyway. What's the problem?
