Don't know why they are so scared of Samsung. Apple is making a lot of money. They can easily do what Samsung is doing. They could make a larger display iPhone if they want to. Obviously people want that else they would not be buying them in droves. It should be very clear to Apple that people what a larger screen option. If they refuse to offer it then they will see those customers leave for others that do offer such features. If Apple is so sure that what they are doing is absolutely right, then they have nothing to fear.

They appear to be available from the Play Store for now. I wonder if Verizon is still selling them.

But fashion is but a fleeting phase. Maybe next month these social agenda judges will have different heroes. (Especially if Samsung proves to have a deeper pocket!)

You are wrong buddy. Apple won't be able to do what android is doing. Android is open and it has lots of free apps that you won't ever find free in iOS. Angry birds has its own free version in android, you dont need to pay upfront for WhatsApp in android, and so on and so on. Apple wouldn't let everything go free because they know they will piss off the developers as for now developers are making more money from iOS than from android.
and probably you need to learn how people can feel "threatened". If you are the current no. 1 phone seller, you will always feel threatened and/or scared with the no. 2. It's just normal. Google introduce google maps offline after Apple dropped them and chose to use their own maps version. Does it mean Apple maps is now more used than Google maps? Of course not. Google maps is still the most popular online map application but they feel scared/threatened with Apple policy so they had to update a lot.
This kind of thing is simply normal. Even though apple still gets the most slice of the pie, Samsung is growing, and it's normal why Apple feel scared/threatened because of this reason.
also i agree with the person whom you quoted, if Apple isn't scared of Samsung, why don't they file a case against Motorola, HTC, Sony, and the others? Can you answer this question?

Yes, I can answer the question as to why they are specifically going after Google and the Google Nexus, not Motorola, et all. It is because the Google Nexus with ICS is the lead device which also sets the lead features that make it into all other devices which seek to sell an ICS based device. If Apple can force Google to remove the 4 offending patents from the ICS build, then none of the manufacturers such as HTC, Motorola et al will have said feature going forward. So it is essential that Apple goes after the head, or the lead. It is the fastest way to achieve what Apple seeks.
