This will go on and on until these patents are challenged and hopefully thrown out.

Ok so why the hell did they never seek this with Motorola Xoom, HTC ONE X, and all that other stuff, I'll Tell you why, Because Samsung scares apple. If Apple continues to do this crap Apple will suffer the loss of components provided by samsung, witch will hinder Apple's ability to make more of it's ipad's and iphones, Sales will suffer for them as well.

Don't know why they are so scared of Samsung. Apple is making a lot of money. They can easily do what Samsung is doing. They could make a larger display iPhone if they want to. Obviously people want that else they would not be buying them in droves. It should be very clear to Apple that people what a larger screen option. If they refuse to offer it then they will see those customers leave for others that do offer such features. If Apple is so sure that what they are doing is absolutely right, then they have nothing to fear.

Apple's being such a whiny little bitch. Now I regret buying anything made by them.

I just got a order tracking number for a Nexus this morning. I ordered it directly from the Google Play store and should arrive Tuesday.

They appear to be available from the Play Store for now. I wonder if Verizon is still selling them.

I ordered a Galaxy Nexus from Google last night. I have doubts that I'll get a tracking number. We'll see.

Pure bullsh*t. Exactly how does this hurt Apple? I'm keeping my Nexus... (also, I notice Google's still selling it: https://play.google....laxy_nexus_hspa)

Nice to know that although Apple does not rule the world - as they clearly wish - they do have a few Yankee judges in their (deep) pockets.
But fashion is but a fleeting phase. Maybe next month these social agenda judges will have different heroes. (Especially if Samsung proves to have a deeper pocket!)
To disagree without being disagreeable is the art of debate. Simply because one has a strong opinion, it does not necessarily make an alternative opinion less valid.

I'd love to see the standards at which patents are being granted raised substantially higher than what passes for innovation these days. Apple and many other companies are churning out nothing but ridiculously obvious concepts and calling it innovation. Giving a bad name to those that actually invent real things, like an Airplane or a Jet Engine. The SCRAM Jet, and so on. Real inventions. Not slide to unlock and calling themselves genius.

I thought I saw somewhere when they did this in Australia that it only meant Samsung could not sell directly....not partners. Is that maybe why Google can still sell it? I may be completely wrong....but....

I ordered a Galaxy S3 because the iphone screen is way too small for me. I was thinking of getting the new ipad, but no more. There is no way I will support a company that acts like this. There is a world of difference between these products and I do not appreciate rotten apple taking a bite out of my choice.

Apple just has not other approaches to try to beat Samsung in the world market shares as they can't. In fact, the reason in which they sues Samsung in the court is just for the patent and the exterior design of the devices. If this logic really works, I would be damn happy to see one day that Toyota sues Honda for making their vehicles with four wheels and one steering wheel and that McDonald's sues Burger King for making hamburgers with meats.

You are wrong buddy. Apple won't be able to do what android is doing. Android is open and it has lots of free apps that you won't ever find free in iOS. Angry birds has its own free version in android, you dont need to pay upfront for WhatsApp in android, and so on and so on. Apple wouldn't let everything go free because they know they will piss off the developers as for now developers are making more money from iOS than from android.

and probably you need to learn how people can feel "threatened". If you are the current no. 1 phone seller, you will always feel threatened and/or scared with the no. 2. It's just normal. Google introduce google maps offline after Apple dropped them and chose to use their own maps version. Does it mean Apple maps is now more used than Google maps? Of course not. Google maps is still the most popular online map application but they feel scared/threatened with Apple policy so they had to update a lot.

This kind of thing is simply normal. Even though apple still gets the most slice of the pie, Samsung is growing, and it's normal why Apple feel scared/threatened because of this reason.

also i agree with the person whom you quoted, if Apple isn't scared of Samsung, why don't they file a case against Motorola, HTC, Sony, and the others? Can you answer this question?

Excellent, well done to the Judge, do you think she could be persuaded to come across to Britain and do the same over here.

Yes, I can answer the question as to why they are specifically going after Google and the Google Nexus, not Motorola, et all. It is because the Google Nexus with ICS is the lead device which also sets the lead features that make it into all other devices which seek to sell an ICS based device. If Apple can force Google to remove the 4 offending patents from the ICS build, then none of the manufacturers such as HTC, Motorola et al will have said feature going forward. So it is essential that Apple goes after the head, or the lead. It is the fastest way to achieve what Apple seeks.
