Sony Acquires Gaikai: 4 Possible Outcomes

Sony dropped a ton of money on a crummy service and they will need to spend a forture more to get it up and running properly. Currently it can't even handle running full games (and barely runs demos). Which means they probably don't have the network or server capacity to handle thousands of people playing for hours on end all at once.

With the Big Three--Microsoft, Google, and Apple breathing down Sony's neck with their own "4 sceen ecosystems" this was a HUGE long-term deal for them.
In the short term I could see certain games working really well with this (and Sony has the content, money, and clout to make it happen), such as Classic RPG's, etc. that don't need a great deal of latency.
