Hi.

I recently repaired my Windows xp sp2 installation.

On clicking the Google Chrome icon, I got the following error message:

"Your profile could not be opened correctly.
Some features may be unavailable. Please check that the profile exists and you have permission to read and write it's contents"

I tried a suggestion, about making a "Backup Folder" and Google opens without the above error message.

Only trouble is, while the google page does open, my "Bookmarks" are blank; they are not there.

Also, it does not remember any of my passwords for the sites I used to log into and for which the passwords were saved by Google Chrome.

Could you please suggest a remedy?

I think there are some different VERSIONS of chrome such as Chromium : http://www.chromium.org/

but I was going to suggest maybe trying that as an alternative to see what happens?

and you're sure you're download the right version of chrome?

Hi, welcome to us.

I understand that save for missing bookmarks and passwords Chrome works fine and you can browse easily.  Looks like you need to re-enter them. Hence, it's good to export your bookmarks as HTML and send them to the cloud. When you do that  other browsers can use them, too. And if you want to change version, you have some choice of Chrome for XP on Old Apps.

And you can listen how hard it is to be in the army, how good it is to come back home to your friends and that  nothing can last forever. Anna Jantar died in the 1980 plane crash in Warsaw. Krzysztof Klenczon of Czerwone Gitary (the Red Guitars) died 1981 in Chicago and is buried in Poland.
