I read another article recently with a similar test.

Except this one involved 1600 questions. Siri got 68% correct, Android 86%.

On all Android devices? Is it a matter of speech recognition or backend processing?

Sounds to me like Android has the upper hand here.

No clue, but the device shouldn't make much of a difference.

I think the article was on CNN..

I wish Google Chrome would tell me what 100 euro would equal to without hitting Enter.

I really can't wait to get my hands in Jelly Bean.

The real test for one is:
the weather forecast in South Beach, San Francisco CA answers on your video is for:

Sun : iPhone NA Android 61
Mon.: iPhone 63/54 Android 75/57
Tue.: iPhone 66/54 Android 77/57
Wed.: iPhone 66/54 Android 75/57
Thu.: iPhone 63/54 Android 73/57
Fri : iPhone 64/54 Android NA
Sat.: iPhone 63/54 Android NA

The highs are approximately 10 degrees higher with Android

Now what was the real weather then tell me who is the real winner.

More, listen to the question asking "Will I need and umbrella on Sunday"
- The iPhone does not give the weather for this Sunday or next. Android give the weather for Sunday ... the day the question was probably asked.

Getting answer is useless ... getting the right answer is what is usefull... even if we get less answers.

the weather forecast is going to depend largely on the data source. Apple appears to draw from Yahoo for its weather data.

Not that temperature forecasts matter much in San Francisco; it isn't uncommon for the forecast to say 72 degrees and the actual high temperature to be 62...

EDIT: Also, it occurred to me...it will also depend on which weather station it's using for data. The part of San Francisco we're in can be several degrees warmer than some other parts of the city.

This seems to be a good test except for the timing. Siri has bested Android from October of 2011 until sometime in mid July 2012, aprox. 9 months. Siri will likely regain the crown in three months time. Based on Android's challenges at upgrades it's not likely anyone buying a jellybean device will ever regain an advantage over an iOS device.

I'd love to just say "Call Bill Smith at his office" and have something that consistently makes a a call to the right person. Every Android app I've tried can't get this right-- nor is there a way to add a nickname "Call Smithy" to a contact from what I've found.

I find the scoring of the respective responses to question 12 rather odd : Android Jelly Bean provides an answer (presumably correct - strange that nowhere is said about the accuracy of the information provided) to the question asked and does so in less time than Siri, while the latter service provided additional information that had not been requested. To my mind, Android Jelly Bean is the clear winner here - it answers the question posed, quickly and without disturbing the user with superfluous, unrequested information....

This review is great and all, but when most android users cannot get "Jelly Bean" without upgrading to a newer (and in many cases expensive) phone, why bother with the new features.

androids updated frequently so it makes sense they will best apple again. If you're carrier doesn't. when your contracts up switch. I use simple mobile my phone is a sony xperia mini pro and sony updates it when there's a new flavor
i had gingerbread before now i have ice cream sandwich.Though u seem biased toward APPLE and uninformed
