I've had trouble deciding what mobile OS to go with, so I might go with this. I liked Chrome OS, but I needed all the features of a desktop at home. On the road, however, such a concept will be perfect.

I can't imagine this being very successful. Firefox doesn't have the engine behind it that Google or Apple do. They barely have enough manpower to manage a decent web browser.

With Firefox rapidly losing market share to Chrome on the desktop, this doesn't look to be a successful venture. Apple and Google have strong ecosystems spanning multiple devices, cloud services, and a wide range of content (apps, music, movies). Firefox has a struggling browser and an HTML5 OS available on one carrier. This Firefox OS being successful is less likely than the Canadian Government buying RIM.
