Since MANY shoot in JPG format, it is rather important to ask:
Can I edit a JPG image in a RAW editor?
Photoshop allows this. Do other RAW editor do?
Does editing a JPG image with Raw editor allow for non-destructive editing ?

Thanks,
Sam

You might have told that for those who don't use Photoshop CS or a recent Paintshop Pro version, freeware RAW editors are available. Here is a list: http://www.talkphoto...96#rawconv_free

An even better editor for Raw Files is Corel's new "AfterShot Pro" It was formerly Bibble. In addition to being a Raw Editor, it also is a photo manager, offering many features, similar to those of Lightroom. I suggest giving it a try there is a 30 day free trial available so there is nothing to lose. I hardly ever use PSE or even PaintShop Pro anymore unless I need to do some serious retouching or removal of unwanted elements.
AfterShot Pro is currently in version 1.0 and is a little rough around the edges. I have also found documentation to be very cryptic.
