At this point having a subsidise phine is as dumb as not paying one's credit card in full a the end of the month.

The only place where that would be true is with cheap knockoff products. You do realize that nearly everything is made in China, right? lol...

You can buy almost any phone you want for that. For the $74.99 5 GB 4G plan with unlimited 2G data you get the wifi mobile hotspot feature
for free. It's $14.99 otherwise. So
if you had the 2 GB 4G plan with unlimited 2G data for $59.99 and added the wifi mobile hotspot feature you'd spend the same 75.00/
month. It's like getting 3 GB of 4G
data for free. And the same plan for a subsidized phone is $94.99. Either way it's a huge savings over
AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. Even the
unlimited everything from Sprint is
$110.00 and the mobile hotspot feature is $29.99. It's $140.00/month on AT&T, Verizon or Sprint for the same services. And that's before taxes and fees. It's literally HALF the price on T-Mobile. No one else has anything like the value plans. AT&T, Sprint and Verizon have either contract or
prepaid plans. T-Mobile has 3 kinds
of plans with the value plans. Bring your own phone to another co.
and you get no discount on the monthly plan. You pay the same as someone who bought a subsidized phone. I was with AT&T since 1999.
I never had a smartphone unitl I switched to T-Mobile last year. I'm
not spending $150.00/month for a smartphone. T-Mobile made it possible for me to have a smartphone. And eligible corporate discounts apply to value plans as well as contract plans. My co. has
it with T-Mobile. The extra 12% off
my bill covers the taxes and fees.
My $74.99 plan actually costs me about 20 cents less then that. The taxes and fees are coincidentally about the same as the discount. So it saves me another $9.00/month. I can't understand anyone who pays what AT&T, Verizon or Sprint charge. Plain and simply, it's insane.
