I could seriously use some help. My computer has been to the shop and in the hands of multiple "computer people" and no one has any idea what is going on with my computer.
It began about a year and a half ago when my computer began shutting itself off on its own. My research told me that it must be overheating, however that was not possible as the computer could have just been turned on for one minute after being off for a whole day and then shut itself off. Due to the unpredictability, and constant ventilation that my computer gets (I have a fan next to the computer as well as use it in a ventilated space) I was suspicious of the "overheating" diagnosis. I was wary of a software issue, so I grabbed everything off of my computer and had it wiped back to zero. This did not solve the problem. I then became busy with life and did not come back to the computer for about six months. I then took the computer to a shop, where they could not replicate the problem. They tell me that they left it on overnight, so on and so forth. A hundred dollars and a week later they had done nothing to change my predicament.
I then took the computer to a friend that has a family business building computers. I paid over three hundred bucks for a new power supply and graphics card. He told me he was certain this would solve my issue. He monitored the temperature and never had a problem. No help as it has continued to unpredictably shut itself off when I brought it home. I can be on it for 8 hours playing a video game and have no problem. I can video skype for 10 hours (I roleplay with friends in England). It will be fine. Then its back to its old habits. There have been times when it seemed to have the problem more when the internet was being used, or when multitasking, however there have been plenty of times when neither of those conditions were present and it shut off. No turning off message, no logging off message, just a blink to black screen.
I am perplexed, I use the computer for work and entertainment and sure would like to see it fixed.
Any insight you can help me with is greatly appreciated, thank you very much for your time.

lol... I like the office space option.
Do any other PCs at your house do this? (I'm wondering if it's an issue with the power there.) Does this PC do that if you use another outlet or take it to a friend's house?

Could be a problem with the wall socket it is plugged into or if your using a power strip, may be that.
