A nexus 9 for 300 by next year, even with the same ppi and lack of expandable.....will be interesting :)

So a Nexus 10 with 226 pixels per inch with a 10" 1920x1200 screen in 3 months...for $300?

Now that we know it cost them only $160 to make, it's clear to me that Google can launch a 10" tablet with the build quality, sensor equippage and computing power of the Nexus 7 for $300 quite easily.

I also think Google will then ditch the 8GB version and cut the price of the 16GB version by $50.

$200 for 16GB Nexus 7
$300 for 16GB Nexus 10

If this is the plan, I think Google is waiting to see if and how Apple launches the mini iPad and how it will be price. The above combo would really hurt the feasability of a mini iPad and strongly dent iPad sales in general.

It'll be a Nexus 10. A 1920 by 1200 display will have 226 ppi on a 10" screen. This is 4.6% higher than the Nexus 7. And 71.2% higher than the iPad 2. And only 14.4% lower than the retina iPad

A 9" is pointless. It'll come off as smaller than the iPad and less portable than the 7.85" mini iPad. Pointless.
If they are going to build something bigger, they have to make it as big as the iPad and similarly functional...for a lot less.

I'll buy the next version with an SD card slot. The lack of expandable memory via SD card is the only reason I won't buy one of these.

Not a large profit but the $200 version is going to blow the tablet market up.

@keith, Many people in asia, india have smaller hands than westerners:)and also have a mindset that portability is as good as size when it comes to mobile electronics. Even women (east or west) a significant demographic in electronic purchases these days would prefer a 9 inch tab over a 10 as its easier to hold in one hand for a longer period.

Look at the galaxy tab 8.9, is it really too small and inconveniant to use?
