Is there any way to add menu icons to Windows Explorer in Windows 7, like there was in Windows XP and earlier versions of Windows? It would be particularly convenient to have a delete icon, rather than having to use the right-click menu. Indeed, beyond the lack of icons, the Windows 7 Windows Explorer menu bar itself is a little anemic in terms of the options it includes.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. That said, you could use the delete key on your keyboard.

That's quite a good suggestion. Thanks. I rarely remember to use the delete key for anything except word processing and other text entry.
