Samsung-apple Rivalry Spreads To Retail Stores

I just bought a Galaxy SIII. Very pleased. I will admit at least part of my decision vs the iPhone came down to my distaste for the numerous Apple lawsuits. It may not have been a deciding factor but the thought was definitely in my mind. I wonder if Apple is losing ground with people because of its actions?

CES, Virgin Mobile, Verizon, Many many cell phone service provider stores are setup exactly like this, even most computer retailers at a best buy even. Secondly None of these android phones look anything like an Apple phone, it had nothing to do with Look alike copy that got the nexus banned, witch BTW Get your facts straight is Not currently Banned anymore do to a simple firmware update releasing it.

Pft you don't know Apple fans, Ya sure the odd few might be displeased, but those arn't fans those are Neutrals. the Real Fans who are absolute cultists are 100% Threatened by Samsung and every other competition, but mostly Samsung and Google. They will support Apple in every way to Bar the competition from, because they to believe that competition is stealing and copying. Their a hand bunch of Humans who have nothing else to apart of in their lives or something to believe in
so they Choose Apple for this. I blame steve jobs. I do not mourn his passing nearly as much because of the Successful Technology cult base he created, One that will likely never die.

Yes, but when you walk into T-Mobile, Verizon or other cell phone store you won't get the feeling of familiarity of being in an Apple store. Best Buy has an Apple section which you can distinguish immediately does not conform to Best Buy's overall deign flow.

The truth is Apple, did not come up with their product line-ups on its own without some influences from already existing ones -e.g. MP3 player. It's just that they made them better by design, simplicity and by converging functionality and technologies that resonate with the public. It is this very idea that Samsung and others are copying.

I think Apple stores copied the looks of the fruit stands in supermarkets then changed the slanted displays to horizontal so they don't get sued.

Thank God Apple is not in TV business otherwise Apple would be suing Sony, Panasonic, LG, Sharp, Visio and many others just because all the TVs are rectangular, black and shiny frames.

Sadly, I believe this is likely true. And for the record I believe Apple has already entered the tv business. I wouldn't be surprised to find lots of patents likely already submitted for tv related technologies.
I'd like to see all software patents invalidated immediately and the patent system changed. No more of this nonsense.
