If you can't beat 'em on the playing field, try to beat 'em in the courtroom. That's the American way.

Well I was one of those 10M who bought the GSIII and I can say based on oher Samsung phones I ever owned which this is the 5th, it is the best.

Even the next iPhone will appear physically outdated. The only 2 cons I have with it, was US carriers not going quad core and I wish the phone had a unibody design with aluminium or poly-carbonate materials.

Tho there are some things I miss about iPhone, I don't miss them enough to eve own another.

And Jobs claim you can't operate a 4"+ device in one hand? This cloning grin a guy who hasn't held the GSIII. Because you can.

The screen is absolutely beautiful even if the PPI isn't as high as it is on iPhone. You still can't see te pixels in the images. The camera is the exact same one in the iPhone 4S, yet Sammie didn't limit it features. You have so many custom settings, including panoramic shots which I just love. I can't wait to hit the lakefront and take a few.

Iam surprised it doesn't feel as cheap as many other Samsung phones Ihave had in the bar style. It's light, tho solid and I simply have a hard time putting it down. It's an absolute dreal to use and that is something I've never said about my ex-iPhone. But Idon't have to miss iPhone much, I sold it for an iPad and that give me the benefit of having both of the platforms I enjoy.

It's nice to have a device where Ican enjoy all the features I want and do the thinsg I like to do, all with installing hacks and jailbreaks. Those days are nearly over. Once the Surface comes, Iwill then own one of the best tablets you can buy.

This is why pple is suing Samsung more than any other phone maker. Samsung is kicking their butts. Competition is great. Iam glad APple made the iPhone because it forced the indutry to give us what we should have had years before. Ithink it was obvious with QWERTY phones, full screen phones were next to appear, but it seems none f the phone makers wanted to take that leap. So thanks Apple for showing them the way, to bad you now have to watch from behind.

Very impressive numbers. I too bought a Galaxy S 3 and it is without a doubt the best phone I've ever used. Believe the reviews. It is that good.

The iPhone 5 had better have some great new lust factor going for it otherwise I think you're going to see some defections toward Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a wonderful phone. Purchased one last week and its capabilities are matched by its good looks. Fast, zero lag photos, photos while videoing, quick lock and recalculate on routes (compared with my Captivate), unbelievable dl speed with LTE, good battery life. With AT&T and no lock on the bootloader am able to get Google Wallet as well (see xda). Should be able to get Jelly Bean on it as soon as Cyanogen 11 is made available for the device.

Beautiful device.

Yes and No. Yes because it would be nice to have a top product Made in the USA. No, because Idon't want to have to pay an additional 200 for it just because of expensive labor. But there si no reason manyof these devices couldn't be built here in the USA f they built enough of them, the cost would drop and the sales would be even higher and demand would be easier to meet on some level.

The have already been plenty. All one has to do is look on blos like Engadget, Neowin and others and even on Samsung's Facebook page and see how many users said they had an iPhone and now have a GSIII.

From what I see of the next iPhone, all Isee is acatchup to hardware specs like quadcore, a slightly larger than previous screen, but looks like its still under 4" and the case design has a slight chagne. That is it.

Even if Samsung releases 2 models of the same family in the same year, they look more distinctly different from the previosu model. Apple isn't doing that and it's going to hurt them on the next model. Of course the devoted will buy them which si what apple is hoping, but not all will. I know Iwon't. I have 2 upgardes avail in 2013, the only devices I will be lookign at are HTC and Samsung.

Actually it is false. samsung is making the A5 chip for apple and other high ends chips in texas. They also have huge R&D there.

Love my S2.

And I can say with all honesty that there are a few envious iPhone users in the office who'll probably be jumping ship when their contract expires.

I purchased the Galaxy Nexus in December 2011 because it was the best Android phone not because it was similar to an iPhone. It is ridiculous to target Samsung for creating Android phones when there are other manufacturers doing the same.

What's really insane is granting patents for rectangles and swiping your finger on a screen to unlock it. What we have here is a company trying to bar everyone else's entry by submitting tons of patents for obvious things. Pretty soon Apple will patent the steering wheel and try to get every car banned for stealing Apple's innovative ideas.

The HTC One X was looking nice, but you can't remove the back and gain access to the battery. I personally love having access to the battery, and being able to expand the memory.

By the way, I like how I can add a 32 GB Micro SDHC card for about $30, tripling the over all storage in my device for very little extra money. It's also great being able to simply drag a much of movie files right into a folder on my device. I can easily see why so many gravitate to Android.

4.04 is also pretty polished now. I don't think anyone can claim Android is not polished at this point. Even Walt Mossberg endorsed the Nexus 7 on the WSJ.

Yes.. but Samsung isn't a US based company. So why would they produce in the US?

Why would anyone want to produce in the US? You got unions that just want more and more and more and constantly shutdown when they don't get what they want. They drove the car makers completely into bankruptcy. The sue Boeing because Boeing refuses to hire union labor to build their new 787 Dreamliner. You can't fire anyone without being sued for something. The United States making employing citizens a scary prospect. You have an ever growing compliance issue which costs money to maintain and manage, else you could find yourself in jail. Going public adds even more burden since the sarbanes oxley act. You can't repatriate monies already taxed in foreign countries without paying an exceedingly high 35% tax even though absolutely zero services were granted in the creation of those monies.

This government and its laws have gone completely out of control. You'll see more and more American companies running away from America. Want to blame someone? Blame the government and unreasonable would-be employees who make hiring them next to impossible.

Certainly much of what you state has merit. However, it should be noted that it simply costs more to employ workers in the United States versus China because the cost of living is higher in the United States than in China. A worker in China can survive on much less money than a worker in the United States.

It should also be noted that due to the higher standard of living in the United States, a consumer in the U.S. can afford to buy many more products and services from companies, thereby increasing these company's profits. If corporations continue the trend of not employing people in the United States, then the standard of living may be lowered to that of China. Therefore, U.S. consumers will purchase less from companies, thereby decreasing their profits. This race to the bottom due to some corporations sacrificing long-term profits for short-term gain may serve to kill the goose that laid the golden egg - the economy of the United States.

The U.S. makes up less and less of the profit of these big companies. Apple no longer makes the bulk of their income in the United States. I believe they have some 66 billion of their cash outside the United States. And every year less and less revenue comes from the US.

CitiBank is 68% outside the US. Only 32% here. Outside of Intel, virtually every chip manufactured is done outside the United States. Hard drives, SSD, etc. Not here. Clothes, shoes, even steel largely comes from elsewhere.

The only thing holding up the economy here is faith and that we are the favored nation in that dollars are needed to buy oil. But that is likely to change which will cause a sever depression in the United States. We're far worse off than Greece and Spain. What you see going on in Europe is the tip of the spear of what is to come here. We don't build anything. We have little in the form of natural resources. We're not using NatGas, instead we import foreign oil.

These companies are very smart to leave. The United States already crashed. You just don't know it yet. You don't feel it yet. You will.

Other than the features coming to iOS 6, the physical iPhone itself isn't going to change much. Since phones are cheaper to make, subsequent models of the sme family should be different enough, to be considered an upgrade. I have eye'd the Galaxy S since the very first one. The main reason I didn't get it is because, Verizon's versions of the GS were just ugly, other Samsung phones I had checked out like the ATT version of the Charge which has Windows, felt really cheap in construction, ans the original S did mimic the iPhone 3G fairly closely.

The only GS2 I saw that I wanted was from T-Mobile. If I had that one, I wouldn't have bought the GS3 because they look nearly identical. But anyone with an original GS, the 3 would be a pretty significant upgrade.

Of course Apple right now could scratch some of its iPhone 5 plans to make sure the new device will at least be on par with the GS3 on some level. I still hate the USA weaseled out and didn't get the quadcore. I am pretty sure Apple will likely find a way to put the quadcore CPU into the iPhone. Tho I just dont see the need for such in such a small phone. The screen looks to be 1.9" diagonally as Apple is trying to stay under that 4" mark to appear to not be wanting to look like the hypocrites they are when SJ poked fun at those "hummer-like" phones.

At least the GS3 looks nothing like an iPhone, it has a clever design, tho not all that unique. Like the 4S, it is filled with gimmicky features like S-Voice. But it does have some useful gimmicks like NFC which will be great once more phones have them.

I have the 16GB model right now. As soon as I get it paid for, I will pass it off to my wife who likes it and I will get the 32GB model for myself. BuT I want to wait just a couple months to see what devices may appear this fall. I am still hoping Verizon gets the Note. But its taking way to long.
