I think one of the issues at play here is that staff who previously would not have had the privilege of a company device are now bringing their own device and thus increasing the resources required now that were not previously needed. In effect, BYOD has increased privileges. Perhaps companies ought to stick to only applying BYOD to those who actually need it (which in many organisations is few!).
