Hello, I'm new to these forums but I guess I'm at the right place.
I was going to a LAN party a couple of days ago and when I tried to connect to their router, my computer just wouldn't find any connection what so ever.
I thought it was weird since my router at home worked just fine.
We tried changing cables, slots in the router and even change router but nothing worked. At last we tried to connect me directly into the modem and with big suprice, that worked like a charm.
When I came home I connected my pc into my own router and nothing happend, no conenction what so ever.
There is nothing wrong with the router since every other computer but mine can connect to it and I can't connect directly into the modem since it only has one slot which is for the router.
If anyone have been through this before and/or know how to fix it, I would really appreciate it.

Try uninstalling the network adapter in device manager and rebooting.

I'd like to add that when I tried the cmd command ipconfig/release, it just said that the specific file was missing.
Can this be a problem?
