What tablet OS do you think is the best overall: iOS, Android, Windows 8 (when it comes out), or the dreaded BlackBerry Playbook OS?

Stock Android 4.1 is my favorite. I'm liking it on my Nexus so far. (glad I didn't get a WP7 device) That said, for a 10" or larger device, I think Windows 7 is best. (yes, I know that's not really a tablet OS)

No secret here, I'm looking forward to Win8 RT.

Oh, and I'm glad I got a WP7 device (LiveB).

For me, the reason for not getting a WP7 device was that there aren't as many apps I want on it (ex. Pandora, good alternate browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc), and I don't like the UI as much (large tiles for instance, and in Android I like the recent app history button, and the shortcuts for wifi/gps on the homescreen). For instance, I use Chrome all the time (I haven't even touched the stock browser), and I use Pandora quite a bit. IE's 6 tab limit is also a bother for me. (maybe most people don't do this, but I tend to open a LOT of tabs sometimes...) Plus, all the WP7 devices out there won't be getting WP8. (and to think that the Nexus S is getting Android 4.1...)

To be honest, I'm starting to think about getting a Nexus 7 tablet - it looks pretty sweet.

After using many tablets, and rejecting them all, I intend to wait until a more general purpose tablet is released. Windows 8 might nail it, but I will have to wait and see. Right now, I don't really care for any of them though.

I agree completely about Android 4.1 - it's amazing. I really like the integration with the Google Cloud, the speed improvements, the fresh interface (on the Nexus 7), and especially Google Now. I used to dislike Android tablets, but the Nexus 7 shows what's possible with Jelly Bean if the rest of their partners get their act together. I've also tested Windows 8 on a tablet, using Splashtop Streamer on my iPad to connect to my PC running Windows 8 Release Preview, and I must say that it's impressive. I'm torn between getting a Nexus 7 or waiting until the Microsoft Surface comes out.

I played with a galaxy tab 2 7" and thought Samsung's customized interface was total garbage compared to stock. I'd be really happy if companies would simply use stock Android on their devices.

I don't use the cloud features though, and Google now requires me to opt-in to anonymous data collection, so I refuse to use to use it. Now if only I could disable the swipe-from-the-bottom for that... (it gets in the way when I want to swipe across the screen in Chrome to change tabs in landscape mode)
