I have a Dell Studio XPS desktop with a HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GH30N drive. I use to be able to burn Dual Layer DVD's with AVS software, however in the last month, after wiping and reinstalling Windows, it appears to burn them as a standard DVD i.e. the software gets to about ~50% and errors out. The disks look like the entire thing was written to and when I play them they get to about halfway through the movie and loopback to the start. I have confirmed via DVDinfopro that indeed the burner is capable of DVD+R DL and I have downloaded the latest driver from Dell. I do not understand what the problem is. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

**update**

Switched from Kodak to Verbatim media. Problem solved.
