I had a bank statement PDF which I downloaded with IE9 open in Acrobat Reader X on Windows 7. I accidently hit Save instead of Save As so I could choose a location. Now I can't see or delete the file from a temp folder. I have tried the usual "Show hidden files" and deselecting "Hide Protected Operating System files" in Control Panel, but I stll can't see the file or folder. I tried changing folder properties, but I am seeing the folder is Hidden and Read-Only. I tried running as Administrator. I tried the command prompt. I tried the attrib command. I tried Safe Mode. I can't see the content.ie5 folder at all. Acrobat Reader continues to open the file, but I can't get rid of it. I have done similar operations like this before with no issue, but I have never seen this before.
The folder location listed in Acrobat Reader X is listed below.
C:\users\randy\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\temporary internet files\content.ie5\8nd402dd\july12.pdf

There Is A 'DOSLike' File Manager With Some Functions More User Friendly Than In WINDOWS.
It Is Called ZTREEWIN.
You Can Test It Free For 30 Days.
You Can Download It From Its Site Itself Or From The 'VERSIONTRACKER / DOWNLOAD / CNET' Site.
Good Luck.

Thank you for the tip.
I was able to clean up the file with Norton Security Suite's file cleanup. Advanced System Care 5 also found the file. I was more interested in how to access the file in the first place since I have accessed these locations in the past. I follow the security articles on PC World and I believe this maybe a security setting of some type. I wanted to see if there was something I was missing at the file/folder level that was preventing me from seeing this location.

You can blame MS for this mess. It is the way MS sent up their system in the new Windows 7. It hides the folder and does not let you see it. In past OS like WIndows XP, you were able to open the folder, but not any more with Windows 7.
Best way to get at it is to use another program, ie explorer++ (not an MS program, a freeware program)
Or use command from cmd.exe to get to the file and delete.

Windows 8 is a useless OS that Microsoft released that has many flaws and bugs. DO NOT USE IT. Use Windows XP or Windows 7.
